This session is for children aged 10-16 who ride the track at intermediate level.
Rollers are great for balance, leg speed, pedalling smoothness, coordination, and fitness, and are a useful training tool over winter to hone your skills and gain extra speed without being out in the cold!
Rollers sessions will teach you to be self-sufficient in setting up rollers to fit your bike, and how to use them as an effective training tool, for winter fitness but also for pre-race warm-ups in the summer. Parents are welcome to help younger riders get the rollers set up and packed down, but riders 12+ should learn how to do this themselves.
As well as skills and drills we will also spend part of the session playing games whilst on the rollers, which is fun but also great for balance and coordination!
First-time or beginner rollers riders are welcome, but please arrive in plenty of time to learn how to get set up and how to get your bike started on the rollers.
We are situated at 104 Burbage Rd, London SE24 9HE. We’re a short walk (and even shorter cycle) from North Dulwich, Herne Hill or Tulse Hill overground stations and local bus routes can be found by clicking here. As you walk north-west along Burbage Rd (from the cross with Turney Rd) keep an eye out for some white curved walls, lovely wood panel gates and a small sign on your right-hand side.
We’ve a limited amount of free parking available on site but we encourage you to travel here by cycle or public transport where you can.
For more information about the recently updated traffic calming measures on Burbage Road click here or search ‘Dulwich Streetspace’. You can't access Burbage Road from the south (via the junction with Turney Road) on a weekday between 08:00-9:00 and 15:00-16:30. At those times you'll need to go via Half Moon Lane.
