HHV Women's Off-Road Session
6:30-8pm: Wednesday throughout the year with seasonal skills workshops (e.g. Cyclocross in Autumn/Winter).
A fun, friendly and social session, for all abilities. The session is led by a coach and is focused on improving your technical skills and off-road endurance. It can be adapted so every rider gets what they want; whether that's a tough workout or a more relaxed pace focusing on technique. And there's plenty of time for socialising throughout!
Session details:
Age group: This session is open to people over 14 years old.
Bikes: This session is suitable for any off-road bike.
Bike hire: Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes are available to hire for an additional £5, just add them to your booking.
Experience level: Some experience riding off-road is great but not essential. This session can be adapted to every rider, whether it’s your first time riding off-road or you’re looking for a race skills or endurance session.
Important to know:
What to wear?
Helmets and gloves are mandatory
Lycra is not required but we recommend that you don't wear anything too baggy. Layers are recommended, as well as a warm jacket for after. Shoulders must be covered.
Remember to bring water and a snack.
Check the weather and sunset! We run sessions throughout the winter, so please dress appropriately, bring lights, and have waterproofs on hand. In the rare instance that we need to cancel due to snow/ice/high wind, we will try to inform participants at least 2hrs before the session.
If you are hiring a bike, please arrive at the containers 15 minutes before the session starts to get fitted on a bike to ensure that the session can start promptly. If you arrive after the session has started you may not be able to get your bike as the coach will be busy.
Meeting Point: Please gather by the off-road meeting point, as labelled on our site map here. If you arrive after the session has started, come and find us on the trails.

As you walk north-west along Burbage Rd (from the cross with Turney Rd) keep an eye out for some white curved walls, lovely wood panel gates and a small sign on your right-hand side.
We’ve a limited amount of free parking available on site but we encourage you to travel here by cycle or public transport where you can.
