SOUTH LONDON GRAND PRIX 2025 YOUTH RACES

U10/U12 riders - Thursday 28th August 2025 5-6pm,  U14/U16 riders - Friday 29th August 2025 5-6pm

As part of the South London Grand Prix international racing here at Herne Hill Velodrome, youth riders will have the chance to compete in their own event in between the adult afternoon and evening racing events.

Our youngest categories of riders (U10 - born 2015 and 2016 and U12 - born 2013 and 2014) will take part in the following events*:

Warm up Scratch, Keirin races and a Marymoor Crawl

Our older categories of riders (U14 - born 2011 and 2012 and U16 - born 2009 and 2010) will take part in the following events*:

Warm up Scratch, Points, Keirin races and a Marymoor Crawl

Come and take part in the youth racing after school and then stick around to watch the rest of the South London Grand Prix that day!  Racers and one accompanying adult will be allowed access to the site on the day of their race for the SLGP, and additional family members will be able to get discount tickets for the same day's sessions.

• Youth riders must have completed a Youth Track Taster and some Youth Track Skills sessions before the event - speak to your coaches if in doubt
• Lycra is not required, although we recommend that you don't wear anything too baggy - layers are recommended, as well as a warm jacket for in between races and after. Remember to bring water and snacks and your packed lunch to have before racing starts.
• Gloves and Helmets must be worn.
• Please arrive in plenty of time to register and warm up before racing begins
