Overview: Holiday Clubs at Herne Hill Velodrome are designed to enable young people of all abilities to develop their skills at their own pace, have fun and make friends during the holidays, and have an exciting and engaging active day. These holiday clubs are suitable for children of varying skill levels and will build confidence and develop skills off-road.  

**NB February sessions are weather-dependent and potentially subject to cancellation.  We will have indoor activities available for short periods but in the event of extreme cold, rain, snow, ice etc, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible by email of any cancellation and will move entries into the next available holiday club

Session Details:

• Age Group: 8-16 years old. 

• Session Duration: 10am-3pm with a 1hr lunch break

• Experience level: Beginner to experienced. You just need to be able to ride a bike confidently to take part.

Important to know:

• Lycra is not required, although we recommend that you don't wear anything too baggy - layers are recommended, as well as a rain jacket.

• Check the weather! 

• Gloves: Required. Available to borrow if needed.

• Helmets: Required. Available to borrow if needed.

• Bikes: Riders are encouraged to bring their own suitable off road bike and helmet but hire bikes and helmets are available at a charge of £5 per day. Trainers are fine to use with these. Pedals are not allowed to be changed on our mountain bike hire bikes.

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the session start time to get a bike and get comfortable to ensure that the session can start promptly. If you remember which bike you used before, you’re welcome to head to the containers and collect it yourself - this speeds everything up!

Meeting Point: Please wait outside the track fence at the end of the blue seating on the grass: your coach will invite you to collect bikes/move to the trails when they are ready.
