Overview: Join us for friendly, mixed-ability cyclocross sessions designed for riders aged 14 and above. These sessions are perfect for anyone keen to explore cyclocross riding or improve their off road riding skills even perhaps enter their first race! No previous off-road experience required.

Schedule:

  • Day: Thursdays
  • Time: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Season: September - January (Cyclocross season)
  • Age Range: 14yrs +

Session Details:

  • Content: Sessions introduce riders to the various cyclocross skills and are tailored to include features expected in the upcoming weekend's London Cyclocross League race.
  • Bike Types: Cyclocross or gravel bikes.
  • Bike Hire: Cyclocross bikes can be hired from HHV for an additional £5. Please book in advance using the entry form.

Important Notes:

  • Lights: During Autumn and Winter months, please bring good bike lights as our trails are unlit and sessions take place in the evening.
  • Experienced Riders: If you are an experienced cyclocross rider, consider our Tuesday evening Adult Cyclocross Race Training sessions.

What to Bring:

  • Your bike (cyclocross, gravel, or MTB)
  • Helmet (mandatory)
  • Good bike lights (for Autumn and Winter months)
  • Water and a snack
  • Cycling-specific clothing, gloves, plenty of layers, and waterproofs (sessions will run in bad weather)
  • Quality off-road front light - the session will use the unlit trails

Location:

  • Trails: Sessions take place on the off-road trails at the back of the main track.
  • Meeting Point: Head over to the benches by the blue HHV sign. Ask a coach on the track if you're unsure where to go.

Additional Information:

  • Session Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Helmets: Necessary
  • Clothing: We recommend cycling-specific clothing. Gloves are recommended. Please get in touch if you are unsure about what to wear.

We are situated at 104 Burbage Rd, London SE24 9HE. We’re a short walk (and even shorter cycle) from North Dulwich, Herne Hill or Tulse Hill overground stations and local bus routes can be found by clicking here. As you walk north-west along Burbage Rd (from the cross with Turney Rd) keep an eye out for some white curved walls, lovely wood panel gates and a small sign on your right-hand side.

We’ve a limited amount of free parking available on site but we encourage you to travel here by cycle or public transport where you can.

For more information about the recently updated traffic calming measures on Burbage Road click here or search ‘Dulwich Streetspace’. You can't access Burbage Road from the south (via the junction with Turney Road) on a weekday between 08:00-9:00 and 15:00-16:30. At those times you'll need to go via Half Moon Lane.
